THE CITY

I’m deathly terrified of change. But I’m also fully aware of the fact that change is a product of time, and that time cannot be stopped or reversed (supposedly), so I understand that change is inevitable. If you didn’t get it by now, I am Kuwait City. But so are you. Every one of us holds on to a moment in time where they were on top, but why do we acknowledge ourselves, our cities, and even our world through our history rather than our advancements? So I urge you all to look beyond Kuwait City’s history. Don’t be the ones holding on to the past, be the ones who embraced change so beautifully that in the future, you’ll be the past that everyone’s trying to hold on to. Because the city, to me at least, shouldn’t provoke a look back, it should provoke a look forward.
